About Tia

I was drawn to the idea of coaching long before I knew exactly what being a professional life coach really was. My desire to contribute and have a positive impact in the lives of others greatly influenced my decision to enter the coaching field. Having the opportunity to work with people who want to live extraordinary lives and take the steps necesary to achieve their dreams is extremely rewarding to me. I never get tired of watching the amazing transformations my clients create for themselves during the coaching process.

Coaching was an obvious and perfect fit for me, once I took the leap and went to Vancouver BC to enroll in the coaching program at Erickson College, I was sure I had found my calling.  There were many coaching programs I could have gone with at the time but Erickson is a very well respected ICF accredited school that I knew to be a top-notch institution. The training I received there was above and beyond that of any other program I had researched. It was very important to me to first receive the best possible training before I embarked upon my journey of helping others discover and live by the values that would inevitably reshape their lives.

I am the second eldest in a family of eight children. We grew up on an organic farm in Ireland when we weren’t traversing the globe. We were instilled with a deep sense of responsibility and appreciation for the planet, along with respect for others and their differences. I have always been an animal lover and that ultimately led me to become a vegetarian. I then married a vegan cardiologist who is the love of my life and I'm thankful every day that this wonderful person is my partner for the journey. Together we strive to lead ethical and purposeful lives and are committed to the idea of a more safe and sustainable future, not just for our own, but for the children of the world.

I have lived in many countries throughout my life and the lessons I have learned from meeting people from all walks of life, with different perspectives and world views has been invaluable to me in my coaching career. I have developed a broad global perspective and see from outside the box. I ask powerful questions that lead my clients to see for themselves, what it is that's keeping them “stuck” in places that may no longer be serving them.  Somewhere along the way I learned to read body language, tone and gesture with relative ease. This might be from growing up in places where I couldn’t speak the language at times and had to rely on those other forms of communication to get by. Whatever the reason, it has been an amazing advantage to me as a coach because outside of global listening, tapping into what isn’t being said is a major part of being a masterful coach.

I love to Coach! I feel blessed in every area of my life. I want you to give your best and live your best, to find your purpose and succeed!
